Although this portrait has been shot many times and in many ways by myself and other photographers, it never gets old.  There's something about having your babies' hands or toes cradling a wedding ring.  To married couples, that was the happiest day in their lives, until baby came along.

Newborn baby portraits in the buff are adorable!  I'm always very careful never to photograph itty bitty private parts.  Portraits are supposed to be tasteful and classic, not to mention they better not embarrass your baby when they're teenagers and you decide to show off the newborn album full of his or her portraits!  Relax kid, I will make you want to show of your baby pictures!

During my newborn sessions, I encourage siblings be included in some shots with baby.  Big sister in this shot was a chatter box and was super excited and curious as to everything I was doing in her baby sisters portrait session.

I've made suggestions for years on the best time to photograph a newborn and 9 days old is my magic number!  This baby boy was so warm and comfy on my knitted throws, I almost didn't want to move him for the rest of his portrait session. The show went on of course and he was just as sleepy and comfy as in this shot for the rest of his session.

You would be surprised how many walks of life now don fabulous tattoos. Daddy's arm pictured here is a professional and a refined successful business man. Tattoos are no longer viewed as taboo. I personally love creating my art portraits with the art of tattoos my clients have. Newborn baby girl and her perfect skin against Daddy's art filled arms is a plus in my book!

When she was given the all clear by her doctors, this beautiful little miracle preemie was scheduled for her first photo shoot. Here she is sleeping soundly on daddy's hand taking her first baby pictures.

Nothing says pure like the innocence of a newborn baby. In newborn portraits the use of white is said to exclaim perfection and new beginnings. This little angel is a pure white canvas just waiting to meet the world.

It may seem weird at first but it's only a matter of time before older siblings start to realize just who that new little person is. Newborn photo sessions are great with older brothers and sisters.

This dreamy baby is sleeping so peacefully! A favorite shot of mine is a closeup of baby's face. You can see the perfection of their little eyelashes, nose and cherub lips. Truly a must have portrait for mom, dad and grandparents!

I've been photographing newborns for a little over 11 years, and am amazed how strong babies are.  More and more I see the little ones holding up their head and wide eyed!  It lasts for a few seconds, but that's all I need to get the shot!  Here's the end result of one of those portraits.  Perfect little Angel with wings and all.

With Etsy being ever so popular with new moms-to-be, the cutest hand knitted costumes can be found to use in your newborn portraits.  The parents of this little baby boy are Batman fans, and it only made sense to get a BatBaby outfit for his session.  The city of Gotham is safe, which is why he's asleep. Smile.

Daddy's hands for scale.  We sometimes forget how small our babies are when they're born.  There is only one chance to document this time in a newborn life, but you can always go back to your professional portraits to relive these moments, time and time again.

So, details are a big deal for me.  I love photographing newborn toes, hands, lips, eyelashes and hair, yes hair!  Some babies are born with little to no hair and some with a lot.  This little baby boy had a gentleman's hairstyle complete with a perfect comb over and the cutest cowlick ever!

This sleeping baby boy was topped off with milk right before his session.  Feeding a newborn right before a newborn portrait session makes them relax and enjoy a little nap time.  Since their belly is full and they're so sleepy, it also makes it easier to change their diaper in case of any accidents. Milk + Full Belly = Happy Baby 

Newborn twins, brother and sister, where the perfect pair at their portrait session. One is always a little bigger, more alert and feisty, but both are adorable. They did give me the chance to capture this moment of them together, sleeping and facing each other, along with many others. Grateful for these little miracles and happy for new mom and dad too!

You can probably relate if I asked you about Winnie the Pooh. He was my favorite while I was a kid and I had my own teddy bears to take care of, and them of me. I always made sure they all had a space on my bed and that they were safe under the covers at night. In the daytime, they were placed side by side against the wall of my bed to keep guard. My hope is that this newborn baby boy will love his very first teddy bear the same way. This portrait will document the beginning of a special friend. One that will know many secrets and dreams.

In this newborn shot, mommy was trying to console baby and assure her that everything was gonna be ok. Or was that the other way around? Either way, what was captured in the baby picture was the incredible bond that a mother and daughter share.

I often have the pleasure of photographing a newborn and every milestone they achieve as they grow. Sitting up alone, even if with some assistance is a big one! This gorgeous baby girl is happy and even surprised with her own accomplishment! (Photographer, mom and dad oohing and aahing in the background) A gorgeous portrait!

No doubt this baby boy and his monkey friend will act a little silly when they get older, but right now, they're all about that nap!  It's always great documenting newborns first stuffed animals!  I always ask mom and dad to include them in their portrait sessions.  Curious George and Baby Boy are the same size now, but give it a few more months and this shot would not have been possible.

Delicate, dreamy and classic.  These are the words to describe the portrait of this beautiful baby newborn girl.  Pure and uncluttered, my mantra and style for my portrait sessions are always "less is more".

A single white orchid rests on the temple of this baby girl.  It gives the portrait a delicate touch to accompany her sweet smile as she cradles her cheek with her tiny hand. Just lovely!

Sitting on this fabulous Eames lounge chair is this dainty baby girl adorned in her heirloom family pearls.  Another great idea is to document family heirlooms or items that have significant meaning to you.  This makes the portraits so much more exclusive to you and your lifestyle.

This newborn baby girl was so alert during her portrait session!  Being days old,her belly button had not even fallen off yet, she would turn her head to the direction of mommy's voice.  The bond that a baby has with her mommy is extraordinary! Maman, lait s'il vous plaît!  which translates to Mom, milk please!  In case you needed translating.. :)

Baby milestones are great to document in your favorite park.  Between 5-8 months your baby will most likely have mastered sitting up alone and assisted every now then.  They still are a little top heavy, so mom or dad are always assisting on one of the sides off camera.  Grassy shady areas are great for on location portraits.

Newborn skin is prone to rashes, little white bumps or peeling. Your doctor might call it milia, angel's kiss or stork bites. Keep in mind, these are harmless and go away on their own. Some babies are lucky and don't get very many rashes while others do. Fortunately, there is photoshop to remedy that little problem. Rest assured that your final images whether you decide to purchase prints, canvases or hi-resolution digital files, all will be expertly retouched and edited before we hand them over to you.  Your portraits will be, well.... flawless!

Classic portraits such as this one are by far the most enjoyable to create. Baby will trust you 100% and I make sure I always practice safe posing techniques with mom and dad. Sleeping baby on daddy's arm is an elegant addition to your wall at home, or displayed in your newborn baby album.

The look on the cute mug of this French Bulldog speaks volumes! Most of my clients have pets, some before they had babies, such as this little baby girl and her furry older brother. He was extremely curious and protective of his little sister. He's wondering when she's finally going to get up and play with him. This portrait, to me, portrays the best of both worlds. A beloved pet and precious newborn child all in one photograph. So sweet!

The feeling of sand between your toes and warm Miami Beach ocean ripples is the best!  Especially if you're experiencing it for the first time! Milestone portrait sessions are perfect for a morning out on the beach. Candid shots are best for locations such as these. There is so much to see, taste and feel! I'll never turn down beach shoot, that's for sure!
