Coming of age portraits can be many different times in a teenager's life. For some, the age is 13, 15 or 16. For others it's a senior portrait or a "just because" session. Whatever the reason, I specialize in classic, elegant portraiture. Our no frills approach will ensure timeless photographs.

The Vizcaya Gardens has long been one of the top Fifteens Portrait locations in South Florida. With it's European inspired architecture and gardens, it is truly one of Miami's most beautiful locations. This portrait is featuring this Quinceañeras gorgeous gown. Details such as this are very important to photograph. It was, after all, the element she wanted most in her custom designed dress.

Candid shots are a favorite. This young lady was buckling the strap on her shoes when I took a quick shot. It almost reminds me of a ballerina lacing up her ballet shoes.

There's nothing like meeting a young person who has their life and future goals in order. She has a bright future ahead of her and you can see it in this portrait. It shows the beautiful person she is inside and out. 

This young beauty was perfect in every way. From her wavy locks to her tulle gown. Her portraits were shot on the historic Vizcaya Gardens in beautiful Miami. 

Wynwood and it's amazing art! What a wonderful location for teenage portrait sessions. I love the colorful grittiness of this neighborhood so, so much. In fact, I love it so much, you may just run into me if you go for a visit. My husband and I frequent the neighborhood's restaurants and shops often! Make sure to say hello if you do! :)

Senior portraits are a great gift for the new grad! Portraits are informal, fun and unique to your personality. This photography session was shot at the ever popular Matheson Hammock Park. I can never get enough of all the green this park has to offer. The flowers in her hair make the shot that more outdoorsy... :)

Clean and uncomplicated, this senior portrait session was a breeze! Our grad brought with her balloons as a celebratory symbol of her accomplishments. I have to say, those oversized balloons work really well with the green that surrounded us at Matheson Hammock Park.

This young lady wanted nothing more than to have the second half of her fifteens portrait session surrounded by the works of her favorite pop artist, Romero Britto. Luckily, Miami is spotted with his artwork and we were able to find many pieces to compliment her beauty.

Sun, waves, sand, and fun! This beauty wanted a beach session. One of the best spots in Miami Beach for all kinds of portrait sessions is South Pointe Park. Besides the beach, there are lots of concrete, grass and wood decks to change up the look. Love the flowing colorful dress against the concrete backdrop. Win, Win!

You come across a kindred spirit every blue moon and she is mine. Art, animal and music lover, I completely loved shooting this portrait session surrounded by nature. The day was rainy and gloomy, but we managed to create beautiful art photographs.

Being a teenager is a fun and unforgettable time. You start to make important decisions that pertain to your future. Choosing the correct path is intimidating, it's always good to surround yourself with family and friends that will encourage and support every decision you make. These portraits make me happy, there is so much wonder and possibility in every face I photograph. <3

Sun peeking through the sea foam colored trellis of the Vizcaya gazebo. There's something magical about this fifteens portrait. Dusty pink walls, limestone and marble floors and at the center of it all, our girl of the day. Arms stretched out to the sun, "shall we dance?"

Many times I have younger siblings accompany the teenage star of the day to their portrait sessions. They offer posing advice, wardrobe and hair rescue moments and sometimes, comic relief! This portrait was a candid moment, big sister looking at her little sister off camera. These are beautiful moments I love to photograph!

I can't begin to describe how important color is in photographs. From the tone of your skin, to the color of your nails. Everything should fall in gracefully. This is one fifteens portrait where the traditional white or light pink was not an option. She chose a teal dress, which complimented her skin tone and dark tresses impeccably.

We're very lucky to have spring and summer virtually all year round here in Miami. The palm trees are a staple in many outdoor locations, and I gladly keep them in most of my portraits.

A fifteens portrait session should focus on the beautiful girl as well as the details in the background. Vizcaya has one of the most beautiful gardens in the world, and this painted ceiling in an outside terrace is a detail I wanted to capture with my client.

This portrait session was shot at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden. Imagine being surrounded by both florida native plants and plants from around the world. Fairchild's vast 83 acres is one of the most perfect locations for coming of age sessions. You can always find something blooming.

I feel blessed by the job I am able to do, the gift that was introduced and taught to me by my own father, an artist in his own right. I feel more blessed when I come across a client such as this young lady and her family. She absolutely radiates happiness and love. Truly an unforgettable fifteens portrait session. 

This beautiful kid is certainly coming of age! This was a "Just Because" photoshoot to commemorate all the changes in her life. New era, new school, new age. It may look like she's on a New England beach but this tween photo shoot was in our own back yard, South Pointe Park!
